FAQs

I am new to natural skincare, will I breakout?

It is normal for there to be a transition period when switching to natural skincare as your skin is rebalancing. When moving from chemical-based skincare products to natural skincare products, the skin can "detox" the previous product and breakouts may occur. Typically this can last for 1-4 weeks. We recommend applying small amounts to the skin at first to adjust slowly.

Are these products good for oily skin?

Yes! Often increased oil production can occur when the skin is over cleansed and stripped of its natural oils. Our products work to balance and regulate oil production on the skin.

What is the shelf life of your products?

Due to the natural, preservative free nature of our products, we recommend all of our products be used within 6 months of opening. We recommend storing away from direct sunlight and in a cooler, dark space.

How long will each product last me?

We design our skincare products to last 1-2 months depending on usage.

Can I use this product on babies and infants?

Yes! We use only natural ingredients in our formulas that are safe to use on all skin types.

Are these products helpful for skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis and rosacea?

Due to the powerful anti-inflammatory properties and intense hydration, these are great products to use with these type of skin conditions. Tallow balm is recommended for these skin types.

Does beef tallow smell?

Our beef tallow is sourced from pasture-raised fat and has been clarified to eliminate majority of the "beef" odor. We also use therapeutic grade essential oils to give the balm added skin benefits and a pleasant scent.

Where is your beef tallow sourced from?

We source our beef tallow from a local farm in Ontario, Canada. The beef tallow is 100% grass-fed.
